Join us at DominionX/RoyalX as a Full-Time Construction Metal Fabricator and immerse yourself in the dynamic warehouse in Richmond, VA. The Metal Fabricator is responsible for creating metal structures, components, and frameworks that are used in construction projects. This role involves cutting, welding, assembling, and installing metal materials to create products such as structural steel, beams, columns, and other metal-based components. The fabricator works closely with engineers and project managers to ensure designs are accurately followed and the finished products meet all safety and quality standards. 

This role also requires a dedicated individual with a strong work ethic, technical proficiency, and a commitment to customer satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsbilities:

Metal Fabrication:  

• Cut, shape, and assemble metal materials, including steel, aluminum, and other metals, according to blueprints or technical drawings. 
• Interpret and understand blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to fabricate metal components accurately.
• Operate various metalworking machinery, including saws, drills, welding equipment, and CNC machines.
• Perform metal cutting, bending, welding, and finishing processes to produce high-quality fabricated products.
• Conduct quality inspections on fabricated items to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.

Warehouse Management:

• Perform various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Arc, etc.) to join metal pieces and ensure structural integrity. 
  • Manage inventory levels, including receiving, storing, and organizing materials and finished products.
• Assist with the preparation of orders for delivery, ensuring accuracy in quantity and specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and best practices.
• Conduct regular inventory audits and assist in tracking materials and supplies.

Collaboration and Communication:

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to fabricate components correctly. 
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Communicate effectively regarding material needs, production schedules, and project requirements.
• Participate in team meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues related to fabrication or warehouse operations.

Qualifications:

Education

• Highschool Diploma/GED

Relevant Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in metal fabrication and warehouse management, preferably in the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Proven experience as a metal fabricator or similar role in construction or manufacturing. 
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics. 
• Knowledge of various welding and metalworking techniques. 
• Strong understanding of safety practices and ability to work in a physically demanding environment. 
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Commitment to following safety guidelines and procedures
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating metalworking tools and machinery; familiarity with CAD software is a plus.
• Safety Awareness: Strong understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing environment.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials and work in various conditions, including standing for extended periods.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in fabrication processes.
